Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm a home-grown Minneapolitan (Minneapolis, MN) and am currently available for work anywhere in the contiguous United States. A travel fee is required for locations with a driving distance of 100+ miles from the Twin Cities, as well as any destination that requires air travel. Fees are determined upon booking, dependent on destination and any necessary accommodations.

What's your booking process?

1. Inquiry: Use the form on my Contact page to get in touch. I'll respond via email within 1-3 business days to schedule a virtual meeting.
2. Discovery call: This video call is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to talk through your vision for your session or wedding. It's also a great time for you to ask any questions you may have about me or my work. This conversation is completely noncommittal - just a chance for us to see if we're a good fit!
3. Contract and initial payment: If, after our meeting you decide to move forward with booking, I'll send the contract for you to sign electronically. An initial payment of 25% of you total package cost is due at the time of booking, and any remaining costs will be due one day before your session or event. Payment plans are available upon request.
4. Planning: For weddings and elopements, I ask that we meet a month or two before your date to go over your custom shot list and review any other day-of details. I'll be in touch to schedule this call, so you don't have to worry about one more wedding to-do. ;)

What's your backup system?

1. Dual card slot cameras: Every photo I take is instantly written to two cards. If one card fails, there will always be a backup!
2. Storage: After your session or wedding, I immediately put all images on an external hard drive and upload them to a cloud service. One SD card is also kept in a fireproof safe until the final gallery is sent. At minimum, your photos are stored in three separate places until they are delivered to you.
3. Archive: All raw images are retained for six months after your session or event. All processed images/final galleries are retained for one year after your session or event.

When will we get our photos?

My typical turnaround for portrait and engagement sessions is 2-3 weeks and 6-8 weeks for weddings and elopements. Your images will be delivered via a password-protected online gallery sent to the email provided at the time of booking.
